About

Singer, songwriter, and sound shaper Dominic Lavoie creates multi-hued pop rock that sits squarely in 2025 and hints at a millennial take on classic rock. Lavoie blends heartfelt lyrics with rich, textured soundscapes that linger long after the last note. He has shared the stage with renowned acts including Los Lobos, Dr. Dog, Guster, Mikaela Davis, Rayland Baxter, and Ghost of Paul Revere.

With an impressive catalog that includes seven full-length albums, two EPs, and his self- directed music film, Mariposa, Lavoie continues to push creative boundaries. His latest album, Round Trip, reunites him with Grammy-winning producer Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Deer Tick), who also helmed Lavoie's 2020 album, Wave With A Broken Arm.

Lavoie's skills extend beyond recording and performing. He runs his aptly titled studio Shabbey Load, in Portland, Maine where he produces and collaborates with other artists.

Lavoie is an accomplished songwriter. His songs are published by Garry Velletri at Gilda Music and he teaches songwriting at the Maine College of Art and Design.
