Dominic Lavoie is a singer/songwriter/producer from Portland Maine, writing and releasing music under his own name and various collaborations. A lifelong musician, he has shared the stage with renowned acts including Los Lobos, Dr. Dog, Guster, Mikaela Davis, Rayland Baxter, The Autumn Defense and runs a recording studio where he produces, engineers, and mixes various bands and artists as well as his own music.
With an impressive catalog that includes seven full-length albums, two EPs, and his self- directed music film, Mariposa, Lavoie continues to push creative boundaries. His latest album, Round Trip, reunites him with Grammy-winning producer Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Deer Tick), who also helmed Lavoie's 2020 album, Wave With A Broken Arm. His songs are published by Gilda Music.
He currently holds the Studio Tech position and is an Adjunct Professor in the Music Department at the Maine College of Art and Design.
Lavoie is an affiliate audio engineer & researcher for the non-profit Galileo Project, based out of Harvard University. The project is developing and deploying systems to collect data on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
